Big Ten Media Day took place on Thursday in Indianapolis, Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium and it was the first chance for media and fans to hear from IU football program as the season approaches.

The representatives for the IU football program at Big Ten Media Day were head coach Tom Allen and players Aaron Casey, Jaylin Lucas, and Noah Pierre.

In the coach portion of the Q&As, Tom Allen discussed the upcoming season, the additions to the Big Ten conference, Jaylin Lucas, and more.

Tom Allen is coming into this season with desperateness in needing a bounce back season after two back-to-back dreadful years for the program.

It was just three years ago that Indiana wrapped up a covid-shortened season to bring the program to a 14-7 record over the 2019 and 2020 seasons. And while the discussion has been that those seasons were ‘flukes’, 2023 can do a lot to change the thoughts nationally as well as alter the current trajectory of the program and Allen’s tenure.

At this current time, Indiana is picked to finish last in the Big Ten East.

The Indiana football program went 4-8 last season. In the past two years, it has combined for a 6-18 record.
