After starting his college career at LSU, Finley then went to Auburn, Texas State, Tulane, Western Kentucky, Georgia State and has now landed at Incarnate Word, which is an FCS school.
How is Finley still eligible to play? All players from the 2020 season got an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-shortened season and Finley applied for and was granted two extra redshirt years by the NCAA.
Finley, who is 23 and a father of three, said he wants to show his kids that they should never give up.
Not everyone is impressed by Finley's determination, as many believe this shows the transfer portal which now allows players to now transfer without sitting out a year is being abused.

This is why college football has become a joke. This kid is transferring to his 7th school and is still eligible. They’ve ruined the game. https://t.co/1wEO2aXQsn
