College Students Pranked Shedeur Sanders During NFL Draft

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has yet to be picked during the 2025 NFL Draft.

He was projected to be a first-round pick going into the draft, but has slid all the way to at least the fourth round on Saturday.

He thought he was being picked when he got a call, but it was a stupid prank from two college kids. One of the kids was being a fake Mickey Loomis, the general manager of the New Orleans Saints, during the call.

Take a look:

Even though Sanders was prank-called, he wasn't too heated after the fact. He confirmed in a video that nobody has his number except NFL coaches and that he just got that phone "yesterday."

It's not cool to do this to a future NFL player, and NFL fans on social media agree.

"This isn’t even close to funny. Athletes work their whole life for this moment. This immature and honestly one of the most annoying things you could possibly do. Grow up it ain’t funny," one tweet read.

"Whatever you think of Shedeur this was cringe," another tweet read.

"I am not a fan of Shadeur Sanders’ arrogance. I also believe criticism of professional athletes is warranted when needed. However, the celebration of Sanders’ downward-trending status during the NFL Draft from certain fans is disheartening and disrespectful," another fan tweeted.

"I don’t care how you feel about someone, opinion is your opinion, but to prank call someone on draft night takes a special type of horrible human being. Embarrassing," another tweet read.

We'll see when Shedeur gets a real call from an NFL team during the third day of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday.

You can watch the draft on ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network.
