Colorado Continues to Dominate TV Ratings in Western Half of Country

There are several interesting little bits of information from this post, but the biggest one is Colorado. The fact that they are currently 2-2, don’t truly have any star power on the field, and yet are almost doubling the second school, Utah, is impressive.

Here are a few other interesting bits of info:

• Colorado (10.63M) is far ahead of every ranked team: No. 6 Oregon (5.54M), No. 21 USC (4.10M)  and No. 25 BYU (1.83M)
• Colorado’s total is more than the bottom five P4 programs combined: 10.63M to 9.33M
• The only P4 schools that have better numbers than San Jose State (3.97M) are Colorado, Utah (5.57M), Oregon and USC
• I almost hope that UNLV’s (74K) number is incorrect, because that is pathetic for an undefeated team. Maybe more bars and casinos should turn the game on.

It will be interesting to see if Colorado can keep up this pace throughout the season. Their next three games are all against ranked opponents, with No. 25 BYU and No. 14 Iowa State coming to Boulder, while the Buffaloes travel to No. 24 TCU. A solid showing should keep the viewership momentum going through the end of the season. But will fans continue to watch if the Buffaloes are 2-5 on October 11^th?

Whatever happens, Coach Sanders has solidified that he is a draw, and as a result continues to make Colorado a television priority.
