The Colorado Buffaloes finished the 2024 college football campaign as the No. 4 team in the Big 12 standings behind Arizona State, Iowa State and BYU.

Colorado had its highest win-loss percentage since 2001, capping off the year with a 9-3 record and a 7-2 record in the Big 12.

While they were unable to compete for a Big 12 title and fell short of punching their ticket to the College Football Playoff, 2024 was certainly a successful season for the Buffaloes.

Despite the triumphant feeling in Boulder, Colorado, the first transfer portal window dealt unfortunate news for the Buffaloes.

On Monday, linebacker Jeremiah Brown announced his intention to enter the transfer portal after two years with the Buffaloes.

Brown started his career at Jackson State with Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. When Sanders accepted the head coaching gig with the Buffaloes, he followed the football legend.

The 6-foot-2 linebacker was originally a three-star prospect from the class of 2021, per 247Sports. Brown was ranked as the No. 189 linebacker and No. 1,703 overall player.

He also received offers from Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Southern Miss and more.

Brown will now look for a new home with one year of eligibility remaining.

According to Hayes Fawcett, throughout his three seasons at the collegiate level, Brown has recorded one forced fumble, five sacks and 47 tackles.

He's entering the portal with experience at inside linebacker, outside linebacker and special teams unit play.
