The No. 25 ranked Colorado Buffaloes capped off an incredible season of rejuvenation in Boulder with a blowout victory over Oklahoma State, finishing the season with nine wins, likely securing a spot in the Top 25, and becoming bowl eligible for the first time since 2020.

Under head coach Deion Sanders, who has transformed the program and instilled a winning culture in just two seasons, the Buffaloes have emerged as one of college football's most compelling stories. Along with Sanders' impact, his son, Shedeur Sanders, and Heisman favorite Travis Hunter have been key pillars of the team's success.

On Senior Day Friday afternoon, Shedeur Sanders put on a dazzling performance, completing 34 of 41 passes for 436 yards and five touchdowns.

With that remarkable stat line, Colorado announced some historic news: Sanders finished the regular season as the program’s all-time single-season passing leader with 3,926 yards. Breaking Koy Detmer's record that was set in 1996.

Coach Prime, Deion Sanders, has made it clear that despite Colorado's slim chances of making the College Football Playoffs, his star players, including Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, will play in any bowl game the Buffaloes are assigned. Sanders emphasized that they are committed to "finishing what they started."

Shedeur Sanders echoed his coach's sentiments, stating that he wants to play for his teammates, further highlighting the strong culture and foundation Sanders has built in Boulder.

This season, Shedeur Sanders has been nothing short of remarkable, finishing with 3,926 passing yards, 35 passing touchdowns, four rushing touchdowns, and just eight interceptions.

His outstanding performance has capped off a stellar collegiate career at both Jackson State and Colorado. While his time at Colorado is coming to an end, it’s expected that he will suit up for at least one more game in a Buffaloes uniform.
