The Colorado Buffaloes have been a hot topic this college football season, but not necessarily for the right reasons.
Deion Sanders' squad has gotten off to a 1-2 start, and as they head into their Week 4 game, are still in need of finding the right answer at quarterback.
The Buffs started Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter in the first two games against Georgia Tech and Delaware after he beat out five-star freshman Julian Lewis. Still, Sanders experimented in the win over Delaware, playing Lewis and third-string quarterback Ryan Staub.
Following the 31-7 win, Sanders then turned to Staub for the team's Week 3 game against Houston after he had a strong outing against Delaware. Unfortunately for Staub, he struggled mightily against Houston, throwing two picks in the 36-20 loss.
The result left Sanders unwilling to commit to a quarterback for the team's Week 4 game against the Wyoming Cowboys, but that information has now been confirmed on Wednesday by CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.
"Colorado is expected to shift back to Kaidon Salter as its starting quarterback, sources tell @CBSSports." wrote Zenitz.
On the year, Salter has completed 30-of-44 passes for 261 yards with one touchdown through the air, and another two on the ground.
As for the meeting with Wyoming, the Buffs are favored by 13.5 points according to ESPN BET.
