The Colorado Buffaloes suffered a 36-14 loss to No. 17 BYU in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday night.  While Deion Sanders tried to will his team for the 'Last Dance' with his sons, it seems at least one of them had other plans on the business trip.

Shedeur Sanders wanted his college career to end with a bang. However, it came to a different conclusion and some around the projected top five pick in next year's NFL Draft are questioning his preparation for the game.

To start with, in a video from Well Off Media, Shedeur is seen talking about his plans for New Year’s. Sanders stated, “For New Year’s where we going?” Meaning he was already looking past the Alamo Bowl to whatever vacation plans he had in mind.

According to a Colorado team source, Sanders also had plans during the bowl week extravaganza as he allegedly spent thousands of dollars treating his teammates to a two-night strip club event over Christmas in San Antonio.

“Shedeur rented out a strip club for him and some teammates,” the source revealed. It wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision either. Sanders reportedly hosted his teammates at the venue on both Christmas night and December 26, giving the team an unusual way to blow off steam during their downtime in Texas.

Sanders allegedly ensured the details remain private by requiring all employees and teammates in attendance to turn in their phones before entering.

Deion Sanders chaotic culture turns into locker room violence in Colorado

“(He) made all the employees at the club turn in their phones and all the teammates who went as well,” said the source. The move sparked questions about the team’s focus ahead of their matchup, especially after their sluggish performance in Colorado's first postseason matchup in four years.

While some might view the gesture as a senior quarterback bonding with his team, others question whether this decision aligns with the leadership expected from a player of Sanders’ caliber. As Shedeur prepares for his next move to the NFL, moments like these will invite scrutiny.

Op Ed: The Deion distractions are masking what's really happening in Boulder

One of the teams currently in play for Sanders is the New York Giants. Given how "Grown" handled a week-long bowl week in San Antonio, he's likely not ready to be emerged into the nightlife of the Big Apple. Sanders biggest weakness at the next level could be the lavish lifestyle he continues to fund. Sanders ends his collegiate career with the label of not being able to win on the big stage.
