Every team has one or two playmakers who are overlooked because of the star-studded talent on their team. The Colorado Buffaloes have several players who stay under the radar and were extremely productive on the field. The NFL draft is a day away, and there is one player's name that should come up in the defensive backs conversation.
Some top NFL prospects are Rayuan Lane III, Shilo Sanders, Andrew Mukuba, Billy Bowman and Xavier Watts, according to Rookie Watch.

After reviewing the five athletes mentioned, Colorado safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig is one player missing from the list. I’m sure it was an oversight on their behalf, looking over Silmon-Craig’s stats over the past four seasons, nobody can deny what he has done on the field playing good ball and should be recognized.
Silmon-Craig and Sanders were the back end of the Buffs defense who made key defensive plays throughout the season, along with Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, helping lead the team to a bowl game.
We took a moment to review Silmon-Craig through four seasons (two at Jackson State, two at Colorado), he had 251 total tackles, nine interceptions, two forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. When you turn on the film to watch him, you are looking for another ‘wow’ play with his competitiveness, instincts, ball location, football IQ, and explosiveness coming downhill to make tackles in the trenches. Looking at the list that was generated, Silmon-Craig should be top on the list.
The Second Team All-Big 12 defensive back is worth his weight in gold, competing on every play and making sure he leaves an impact on the game. Silmon-Craig ran a 4.65 40-yard dash during the Colorado Pro Showcase, giving NFL scouts something to consider. One concern some scouts may have is his size. There is one thing defensive coordinators should realize. He plays bigger than he’s listed and will deliver.
