Conflicting Reports Have Emerged On Bill Belichick's Engagement Status

As Bill Belichick prepares to make a stunning transition to college football, fans are focused on the 73-year-old's relationship status.

According to the New York Times, Jordon Hudson told at least one person that she and Belichick are engaged to be married. Belichick has yet to post any engagement photos on "InstaFace," and one journalist who has extensively covered this story couldn't confirm that wedding bells are imminent.

Pablo Torre didn't mention an engagement in a podcast shared earlier this month detailing the relationship. However, the former ESPN personality reported that Belichick's family has expressed "deep worry" about his relationship with Hudson, who is reportedly banned from attending North Carolina football practices.

Since the podcast's release, media outlets have turned to Torre as an authority on the tabloid topic. Naturally, people wanted to know if he had any intel on an upcoming wedding between Belichick and Hudson.

Torre wrote Tuesday that, as recently as March, Belichick told a friend that he and Hudson aren't engaged.

Of course, Torre and the New York Times could both be correct. It's May, so Hudson and Belichick may have agreed to get married after the head coach reportedly told an inquiring friend otherwise.

Another possible interpretation of Belichick and Hudson telling confidants different information would make things awkward.

A vast age discrepancy between Belichick and Hudson has turned their relationship into gossip fodder. Tom Brady and Saturday Night Live have roasted the six-time Super Bowl champion.

Interest in the pair went into overdrive after Hudson interrupted Belichick's CBS interview. Tony Dokoupil called Hudson a "constant presence," but Belichick accused CBS of abandoning an agreement to focus on football in a heavily edited segment.

Torre later revealed scintillating details about Hudson's involvement in Belichick's professional life. One anonymous source allegedly called Hudson "the worst person I've ever met" despite working with "multiple sociopaths."

Hudson reportedly attempted to force her way into a commercial featuring Belichick as a "hard launch" for their relationship. According to Torre, she showed up in a bikini, and the production team shot footage that they didn't air.
