Connor Stalions attended Michigan's Rose Bowl victory?

One of the reported 96,371 people in the crowd during Michigan's 27-20 overtime victory against Alabama at the Rose Bowl on Monday was Wolverines ex-analyst Connor Stalions.

The former recruiting staffer resigned from his post on Nov. 3 after "being identified as the central figure" in the program's sign-stealing scandal, according to a report by Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic. Per Auerbach, Stalions hasn't talked publicly about the situation — which prompted an NCAA investigation — since releasing a statement to The Athletic the same night of his resignation saying that he "(loves) the University of Michigan and its football program."

Stalions also said at the time that he didn't "want to be a distraction" from what he hoped would be a "championship run."

The Wolverines' most recent national championship came during the 1997 season, which was capped off with a victory over Washington State in the Rose Bowl.

No. 1 Michigan will play the second-ranked Washington Huskies in Monday's national championship game.

While Stalions' name hasn't been in headlines much since his departure, head coach Jim Harbaugh's future with the Wolverines remains a topic surrounded by heavy speculation.

The former NFL AP Coach of the Year was the San Francisco 49ers head coach from 2011-14 and could make a return to the pros. Harbaugh led the Niners to a Super Bowl XLVII appearance, and he's guided Michigan to three consecutive spots in the College Football Playoff.

The Wolverines reportedly offered the younger Harbaugh brother an extension recently, however, a deal that would include a no-NFL clause.
