Curt Cignetti, Indiana Receive Big Transfer Portal News on Saturday

The Indiana Hoosiers are coming off their best season in program history, finishing with 11 wins for the first time ever, much of which is thanks to head coach Curt Cignetti.

The Hoosiers lost in the first round of the College Football Playoff to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 27-17. But after going 3-9 in 2023, making it that far seemed too good to be true before the season.

Now, though, it's time for the Hoosiers and Cignetti to move on and focus on the future, which, for many high-level programs, means making moves in the transfer portal.

In this case, Indiana has landed a commitment from transfer safety Louis Moore, with whom they are already familiar.

As a zero-star recruit out of high school, Moore started his collegiate career at Navarro Community College in Corsicana, Texas, but then transferred to Indiana, where he spent 2022 and 2023.

In his two years with Indiana, he recorded 92 tackles, one pass deflection, one sack, four forced fumbles and three interceptions.

He spent last season with the Ole Miss Rebels, recording 34 tackles, one pass deflection and 0.5 sacks.

Moore joins a growing list of incoming transfer additions for the Hoosiers. Some other big commitments include four-star quarterback Fernando Mendoza, three-star running back Roman Herby and three-star cornerback Amariyun Knighten.
