Dabo Swinney Joins Live Call as Four-Star Safety Kentavion Anderson Commits to Clemson
USA TODAY Sports

Kentavion “Polo” Anderson, a four-star safety from Roebuck, S.C., has officially committed to Clemson — and he made sure the moment would never be forgotten.

During a live commitment stream with On3, Anderson paused mid-announcement to call none other than Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney himself. As the crowd leaned in, Anderson held up his phone. “Hello, is this Marco?” Swinney answered, playing along.

“Yes sir, it’s Polo,” Anderson replied, triggering a familiar and thunderous response from Swinney:

“Marcoooo… Polooooo! Let’s GOOOO!!”

The entire room erupted as Anderson laughed, then asked, “Coach, where are we going?”

“We’re going to Clemson!” Swinney shouted, as Anderson stood up and placed the Tigers hat on his head. His family, seated beside him, all rose and opened their jackets to reveal orange Clemson shirts underneath, sealing the celebration with a powerful show of unity.

It was a heartfelt and electric moment — the kind that only Dabo Swinney seems to pull off with such ease.

Anderson, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound standout from Dorman High School, is one of the top safety prospects in the state and a national recruit in the 2026 class. He chose Clemson over Florida and South Carolina.

“I’M STAYING IN THE UPSTATE, LET’S GO TIGER TOWN!” Anderson exclaimed on the stream.

He becomes Clemson’s 15th commitment in the 2026 cycle and their second four-star safety, joining Kaden Gebhardt. Anderson’s commitment further strengthens the Tigers’ presence in their home state and continues Swinney’s trend of memorable, recruit-driven announcements.

This one just had a little more Polo in it.
