The Oregon Ducks have been a hot topic across the recruiting world this offseason after a tumultuous time trying to secure top talent. One of their top targets, Tyler Atkinson, has consistently been the apple of their eye. The top-rated linebacker and five-star talent is getting the "all-in" treatment from the Ducks.
With competition from Georgia, Clemson, and Ohio State for Atkinson, this is one of those blue-blood races where every little thing matters.
Atkinson was blunt when asked about what he needs from Lanning and the Ducks this weekend, saying, “On this visit, I am really looking for that feeling.”
“Oregon believes in me and AtkNup. I believe in Oregon too. I feel the defensive staff is great, and it is led by a great defensive head coach who can have a major impact on my development and growth as a player and a defensive quarterback.”

Facing off against other top programs isn't daunting for Lanning and company, and the No. 8 overall prospect is worth the fight. Atkinson isn't reportedly looking to commit right away, but providing a tremendous holistic experience based on vibes puts increased pressure on the Ducks to get it right.
“My family supports me wherever my decision leads me,” Atkinson said. “It just has to feel right.”
