Deion Sanders Breaks Silence on Viral Raiders Video

Earlier this week a video floated around social media showing Colorado head coach Deion Sanders speaking with Las Vegas Raiders head coach Deion Sanders.

In the video, Sanders could be heard suggesting to Pierce that the Raiders should draft his sons, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and defensive back Shilo Sanders. "Now I just need you to do one thing," Sanders said. "I need you to draft those Sanders boys next year."

Looking around the room, Pierce asked, "Where they at? Where they at?"

While the video was circulating around social media this week, it's actually from earlier this calendar year when Pierce and Sanders attended a Raiders event together before the Super Bowl.

"To whom is may concern the video that’s being played of me & Coach Pierce is from the Super-Bowl Last year. God bless and have a phenomenal day. We are. #Dad/CoachPrime," Sanders clarified on social media this morning.

Earlier this season, the Colorado head coach admitted he would "privately" dissuade teams from drafting his son, Shedeur, who is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks off the board. When discussing what he wants to see from an NFL team in order to draft his son, Deion painted a clear picture.

"Somebody that can handle the quarterback that he is. Somebody that can handle understanding what he's capable of," Sanders said. "Someone who has had success in the past handling quarterbacks or someone in an organization that understands what they're doing, not just throwing you out there amongst the wolves."

The Raiders have been a popular landing spot for Shedeur in mock drafts, which is why the video of Piece and Sanders started making the rounds on social media again.

Fans will have to wait until late April to see if that becomes reality.
