Deion Sanders Had Words After Shedeur’s Second Day of Browns Camp

Shortly after practice had wrapped up in Cleveland, Coach Prime shared two videos of his son completing impressive passes to his Browns teammates.

"Ok Young King," the 57-year-old wrote, tagging the accounts of Shedeur and the Browns to make sure they saw it.

In the third slide, Sanders added a screenshot of a post on X from NFL reporter Joe Schad, claiming that the Browns rookie had a "phenomenal day" in his second day of rookie minicamp.

The father-son duo is about to be separated for the first football season since 2017, when Deion started coaching Shedeur and his other sons Shilo Sanders and Deion Sanders Jr. at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas. 

The quarterback amassed a 36-15 record in college while being coached by his father for two seasons at Jackson State and two seasons at Colorado.

During his media availability, Shedeur said that seeing his dad's Hall of Fame NFL career — which included Super Bowl rings with the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys — helped prepare him for the transition to the professional game. It also taught the 23-year-old how to deal with hate.

However, Sanders stated that his internal motivation is a bigger factor than trying to prove anyone else wrong.

"My job here isn't to prove people wrong," Sanders said. "It's to prove myself right."
