Deion Sanders' Huge New Contract: Where Coach Prime Ranks Among College Football's Highest Paid Coaches

Deion Sanders took Colorado football from an afterthought to one of the hottest things in all of sports. 

He transformed the school, the college football world, and his presence helped push Colorado into the Big 12, out of the Pac-12, and more than anything else, he turned the program into a winner.

(And made Colorado a ton of money along the way.)

Sanders was rumored to be in the mix for the Dallas Cowboys head coaching gig, and there were even suggestions that Florida State might be a fit if the program struggles again under Mike Norvell. But now, he's settled in at Boulder, at least when it comes to be paid what he's worth.

Coach Prime will now make $10 million for this season with incentives attached with a contract reportedly worth $54 million over five years. That puts him among the top paid head coaches in the sport.
