Deion Sanders Issues Blunt Warning to Colorado Players Ahead of Georgia Tech Game

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes will have a completely different look to begin the 2025 college football season. For the first time in Coach Prime's tenure in Boulder, Colorado will be without quarterback Shedeur Sanders and hybrid star Travis Hunter, both of whom departed for the NFL.

The Buffaloes will open the regular season on Friday night, hosting the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Folsom Field. And despite the major changes for Colorado, Coach Prime remains ready for the new year.

Deion Sanders Issues Warning to His Players

In a recent Well Off Media video, cameras captured Sanders addressing his team ahead of the upcoming game against Georgia Tech. During the speech, he warned his players that he is “a little different” when a game is approaching.

"I'm gonna tell y'all something about me, and it may coincide with how some of the other coaches feel," Sanders said. "I'm a little different as closer we get to the game. I tolerate less as closer we get to the game. Today may be the best day that we are going to have a good time because as we get closer to the game, my focus is a little different. My attitude is a little different. The way I move, the way I think, the way I get down is a little different."

Sanders' Strict Dress Code

Sanders not only gets “a little different” when a game is near, but he has also enforced strict policies on his Colorado players. One that stands out is his dress code, which prohibits wearing slides, hoodies or headphones in the classroom.

"No slides," Sanders commented. "I'm going to send people to campus tomorrow. If I see you in slides on campus, it's going to be a problem. If I see you with a hoodie or with headphones on in the classroom, it's going to be a problem. If I see you sitting in the back of the classroom, it's going to be a problem."
