Deion Sanders Issues Cryptic Statement on Recent 'False Rumors'

Deion Sanders sent out a cryptic message on social media Wednesday, calling for a stop to "false rumors or stories."

"Let’s Stop Lying today, tomorrow and the next day. Stop also trafficking false rumors or stories that don’t involve not 1 witness that will stand by the story they told privately in order for it to circulate publicly," Sanders wrote on X (Formerly Twitter).

While Sanders didn't specifically detail the subject of his rant, there wasn't much to pull from. There has been a whirlwind of headlines involving the Sanders family as of late. Coach Prime's son, Shedeur Sanders, was the talk of the 2025 NFL Draft last month. After being slated as a first-round pick, the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback went to the Cleveland Browns as 144th overall selection in the fifth round.

The historic fall became one of the most discussed topics during this latest sports cycle, including the NBA and NHL playoffs. Sanders has since settled in for the Browns and will try to work his way up the depth chart. He'll be in competition with a stacked QB room, which includes former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco.

For the first time in Deion's coaching career, he'll be without his sons. Besides Shedeur going to Cleveland, his other son, Shilo, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Both Sanders brothers will be looking to make the final 53-man roster going into the upcoming season. Neither path will be easy for them, but it will be entertaining to watch nonetheless.
