It’s quite evident that Deion Sanders Jr. and former New York Giants quarterback-turned-analyst Danny Kanell don’t exactly like each other.
The two rekindled their grudge from two months ago on Wednesday when Kanell took a shot at Sanders Jr. over X after the Colorado Buffaloes, coached by Sanders Jr.’s father, finished 4-8 after a 3-0 start to the season.
Hey junior @DeionSandersJr congrats on 4 wins in year one. Some advice for year 2:

Stop writing checks your lil bros can’t cash.
Cleanup your language -I’m sure your daddy doesn’t approve.
When you lose say little. When you win say less. ✌️#DKreceipts https://t.co/vSDZQxUCok
The 50-year-old Kanell, who works for CBS Sports, Fox Sports and Sirius XM radio as a college football analyst, also took shots at Sanders Jr.’s family, including his brothers Shedeur and Shilo, both of whom play for Colorado — something Sanders Jr. didn't take kindly to.
Y’all stop going back and forth with these people…. We lost 8 games, let them talk they shit. We’ll bounce back.

& now that the season is over, they have no choice but to watch us win. Every time they watch TV & get on social media they gone see us winning and running it up
Kanell’s tweet came a little under two months after his last interaction with Sanders Jr. in which he called out the Colorado fans for storming the field following the Buffaloes 43-35 double overtime win over in-state rival Colorado State on Sept. 16.
Sanders Jr. saw Kanell’s tweet and responded with some colorful language, to which Kanell responded by calling Sanders Jr. “all class.”

In the two months since that social media exchange, Colorado lost seven of its last eight games and the elder Sanders has lost several commitments from numerous top 2024 and 2025 recruits who had initially pledged their services to Colorado.
