Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders are gearing up for their next game after taking down then-ranked No. 22 Iowa State on Saturday, 24-17.
Before then, one Colorado player decided to have some fun with Sanders at practice.
Defensive back Ben Finneseth dressed up as Sanders, hilariously quoting the head coach. Sanders was taking a video with cheerleaders when Finneseth surprised the Colorado head coach as himself.
Finneseth has been with Colorado since 2022 and has accounted for 39 total tackles and one forced fumble. Finneseth named himself "White Prime," featuring some brown overalls, a white Colorado hoodie, sunglasses and a black Cowboy hat.
The joke was posted on Instagram.
"My favorite son. White Prime, baby," Finneseth joked. "Ain't nothing different but the skin tone. Ain't nothing different."
Sanders later commented on the video, thanking the cheerleaders for setting everything up.
"This is Hilarious and thank u." Sanders said.
The Buffaloes are now 3-4 after beating Iowa State. The Cyclones were the first Big 12 win for Colorado this season.
Colorado has a bye in Week 8 before taking on another ranked Big 12 foe in No. 23 Utah on Oct. 25.
Sanders is 1-1 against the Utes since taking the Colorado job in 2023. He beat Utah last season 49-24. In 2023, he faced Utah in the last game of the regular season, losing 23-17.
No. 23 Utah is the last ranked game on Colorado's 2025 schedule. The Buffaloes must also face Arizona (Nov. 1), West Virginia (Nov. 8), Arizona State (Nov. 22) and Kansas State (Nov. 29) in their quest to make a bowl game.
Sanders led Colorado to its first bowl game since 2020 last season.
ESPN's FPI gives Colorado a 16.3% chance to beat Utah in Week 9. Kickoff will be at 10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
