Head coach Deion Sanders has led the Colorado Buffaloes to a 2-2 record to start the 2025 season. Without stars such as two-way player Travis Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the team has failed to find the same kind of success as 2024, when it went 9-4.
However, every week provides a new opportunity, and Colorado has the chance to once again get into the win column on Saturday, with a matchup against the No. 25 BYU Cougars.
BYU, who are considered a Big 12 title threat, is currently listed as a 6.5-point favorite, according to ESPN BET. It's shaping up to be an uphill battle for the Buffaloes.
After their Week 4 win over the Wyoming Cowboys, it's clear that Sanders is looking to keep things going against the Cougars.
On Saturday, he shared a one-word message to everyone via X, saying "Win!"
Win!

Of course, this is also somewhat of a revenge game for Colorado, which has gone 0-1 against BYU to start Sanders' tenure. One loss doesn't seem like a lot, but it came in last year's Alamo Bowl, denying the Buffaloes their first bowl win since 2004.
However, Sanders has been adamant he's moved on, saying, "We ain't with that get-back stuff. I ain't with that get-back stuff. I'm with that let's-get-them stuff. They played their butts off, kicked our butts in the bowl game. Now we have a whole new team," according to ESPN.
Whether Colorado can hang around with a ranked opponent will remain to be seen, but Sanders has once again set the tone, an aspect he's become well-known for as a head coach.
Unfortunately for him, though, many have already written Colorado off, with ESPN's FPI giving them just a 0.1% chance of winning the Big 12 and a 31% chance to win at least six games.
If the Buffaloes can follow Sanders' simple instructions, though, they'll be well on their way to earning some more respect.
Kickoff is scheduled for 10:15 p.m. ET at Folsom Field, airing on ESPN.
