Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes face the Utah Utes in Week 9. They're looking to capitalize on a huge Week 7 win over the No. 22 Iowa State Cyclones. Colorado entered the game as 2.5-point underdogs according to ESPN BET.
Starting the season 3-4, the Buffaloes and Sanders also enter the game against Utah after being recharged, coming off a bye week.
However, Sanders wasn't a fan of the time off, saying, " After a win like that, you want to keep going. You don’t want a bye week, you want to keep the momentum going. And keep going, period."

Problems have also arisen from players getting some time off. While speaking to Colorado's director of audio broadcasting, Mark Johnson, Sanders revealed there will be consequences handed out to players who did not return to Boulder on time.
"Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders to Mark Johnson when asked about return to Boulder following the bye week: "And you got to get back on Sunday. A couple guys didn't make it. There will be some consequences. You will see those consequences. You will say, 'I wonder why?' That's why," wrote Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede.

The players and consequences are not yet known, but based on Sanders' remark, that's all likely to be made public. This comes at a pivotal time for the Buffaloes. Going against Utah offers Colorado an opportunity to be .500 through eight games.
The 58-year-old head coach has been very vocal when calling out members of the team. During a practice, Sanders said, "Some people out here just out here. They already quit. They’ll shut it down because they know they have no future in this.”
After going 9-4 last season, Colorado is chasing its second straight winning season and bowl game appearance. That's something the program hasn't done since 2004 and 2005.
