Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have struggled this season and hold a 3-6 record.
Life after Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders hasn't been easy but the Buffaloes still have an opportunity to win out to secure a spot in a bowl game.
Back in the spring, Sanders underwent a routine scan for his past issues related to blood clots. During those scans, doctors found a tumor in his bladder.
Sanders eventually had a procedure to remove the bladder after the tumor began invading its wall. The procedure went smoothly, and he opted to share the news with the public through a press conference on July 28.
Sanders has been on the sidelines all season, and his health is in a great spot now.
On Tuesday, he took to social media to share a message regarding men's health awareness month.
"#ad I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- MEN, SEE YOUR DOCTOR. GET CHECKED OUT," Sanders said. "It’s Men’s Health Awareness Month and I’m proud to partner with @dependbrand to spread the word. There is no shame when it comes to your health. Depend has me covered."
The message was an ad for Depend, which makes products for those who deal with loss of control or leakage in the bladder.
Sanders is using this as an opportunity to spread awareness for what he went through, and it's okay to get checked out by a doctor often.
The next time Sanders will be on the sidelines will be on Saturday as the Buffaloes face the West Virginia Mountaineers on the road.
