Jimmy Horn Jr. made waves at Carolina Panthers Fan Fest on Saturday night with two touchdowns that had spectators buzzing. The rookie sixth-round pick out of Colorado didn’t just show off his elite speed, but displayed outstanding skills.

While more than 40,000 fans roared at Bank of America Stadium, Horn remains grounded, saying he hasn't truly accomplished anything yet. “I haven't played in no real NFL game yet,” he said. “I still haven't accomplished any goals or anything.”

That hunger is exactly what Deion Sanders hoped to see. “Jimmy don’t play,” Sanders told Asante Samuel on the Say 'What Needs to Be Said' podcast. “Jimmy has got his pops on his mind. You know pops is incarcerated. So Jimmy has got a purpose.”

Dave Canales praises Horn for his elite skills

Horn’s effort is earning praise across the Panthers organization. Head coach Dave Canales noted his relentless energy, ability to adjust routes is how, “he continues to find space and play fast.” Veteran receiver Adam Thielen added that Horn’s comfort with the offense is growing, and his playmaking is only beginning.

Horn, who was one of Coach Prime's extended sons at Colorado, isn’t resting on athleticism alone. He's taking steps at the next level, which might make him the biggest steal of the 2025 NFL Draft.

What's next for Horn in Carolina?

Despite the rising hype, Horn remains focused and humble. “I try not to feed into it,” he said. “I just want to continue to prove myself every day.”

For now, Horn is just getting started. With every rep, the NFL is starting to see what Sanders already knew when he was in Boulder. Horn is built for the next level and will continue to thrive.
