Coach Prime is getting some much deserved time away from the grind in Boulder. However, he's not sleeping on what's going on with Colorado's future recruiting class. Sanders and his staff are currently courting three of the nation's top talents.
With just two players in the Buffaloes' 2026 class, the rush is on to build before another transfer portal haul. They recently visited with five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan. The Alabama high school prospect came to Boulder and the Colorado recruiting staff followed up with him at home this week.
Outside of that, former USC commit and top linebacker Xavier Griffin remains on the Buffs radar, along with top overall player Zion Elee. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound EDGE at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland is the type of 3-4 outside linebacker who could be a day one starter at the P4 level.
As Sanders takes some downtime, he'll recharge for another season ahead of him in Boulder. The Buffs will look to improve on a 9-4 season in 2024 with key losses on both sides of the ball, including Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders.
