Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have had quite the turnaround from the 2023 college football season to 2024.
Last year, Coach Prime and company started off well, winning their first three games, including one over the No. 17 TCU Horned Frogs. However, things in Boulder went downhill fast as the Buffaloes dropped eight of their final nine contests, falling to 4-8 overall and missing a bowl game entirely.
Fast forward to this season, Colorado is sitting at 8-2 heading into Week 13 and is in the conversation for the College Football Playoff with two regular season games remaining.
With this new success, Sanders has become a rumored candidate to join an NFL team as a head coach in 2025, with the Dallas Cowboys being one of the talked-about favorites.
But Coach Prime has said multiple times that he plans on staying with Colorado next year.
"I'm happy where I am," Sanders said on Nov. 19. "I'm good. I've got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is? A lot of people in here, not of age, don't know what a kickstand is."
Still, many people have their doubts, and even his former Cowboys teammate, Michael Irvin, has reported that Coach Prime is likely heading to Big D.
However, on Wednesday night, Sanders' son, Deion "Bucky" Sanders Jr., joined the podcast "Zero 2 Sixty with Matt McChesney," appearing to confirm that his father will likely stay in Boulder.
"Bro, I asked him because I wanted to know whether to renew my lease or not," Sanders Jr. said. "'Like, what's your plan? And he was like no, he wants to stay in Colorado. He loves being here. That's just me and him talking one-on-one."

All three of Coach Prime's kids have a role on the 2024 Colorado team. Shedeur Sanders is the starting quarterback, leading the offense alongside Travis Hunter. Shilo Sanders is one of the starting safeties. And Deion Sanders Jr., although not a player, has found a significant background role in creating behind-the-scenes video content.
If Deion Sanders does, in fact, stay with the Buffaloes, that would be big news for the Colorado faithful.
