At 3-5 on the season and just 1-4 against his Big 12 rivals, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is having about a rougher year than some of the coaches who have already been fired. But he doesn't seem worried about his job security one bit and is actually more amused by the recent slew of firings than anything else.
And as he so often does, Coach Prime had a unique comparison to make about it.
In a recent interview where he addressed the high-profile firings of the likes of Brian Kelly, Billy Napier and James Franklin, Sanders compared firing a coach to getting a BBL, calling it a "quick fix" that everyone wants.
"You can get a BBL, you can come in here flat as I don't know what and leave thick as a snicker," he joked.

Coach Prime is truly one of a kind. But he shouldn't necessarily feel safe in his job status right now.
Aside from a few non-conference wins over Delaware and Wyoming, the only game the Buffaloes can hang their hat on this year is an upset over No. 22 Iowa State from mid-October. They have not won a game on the road all season and could wind up missing bowl eligibility if they don't win three of their last four games against teams that are similarly struggling.

The transition from Shedeur Sanders at QB to the combo of Kaidon Salter, Ryan Staub and Julian Lewis has been a rough one. The offense ranks outside the top-100 for points scored while the defense is in the bottom half of FBS, giving up nearly four TDs per game.
In the unlikely event that Colorado does decide that they could do better than Deion Sanders, they now have a slew of potential options featuring coaches that have won far bigger games than he has.
Just something to think about as the season trudges along.
