Deion Sanders to donate portion of salary to help renovate Jackson State facilities

Deion Sanders has made a home for himself coaching at Jackson State. Now, he's planning to spread some extra love by helping pay to renovate the school's football facility.

Sanders announced in an Instagram video with "For The Culture" over the weekend that he plans to donate half of his salary to make sure the facility is ready to be used ahead of the upcoming college football season. The target date for the facility to be completed is Aug. 4.

Sanders agreed to a four-year coaching contract at Jackson State worth roughly $300,000 per year back in 2020.

"I'll put half on it to get this done," Sanders said in the video. "If you don't believe me, check me. I will send you the receipts."

Jackson State opens up its season on Sept. 4 against Florida A&M.
