Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are officially in the offseason after finishing the 2025 season 3-9. It's the program's worst season since he took over in 2023. It's set to be a pivotal next few months for Sanders, with the transfer portal opening on Jan. 2.
He's made it clear that he's the man for the job, saying , "If anyone is built to reconcile and to get this back on course, it’s me," following the team's Week 14 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats.
However, not every member of the Sanders family is in offseason mode. In fact, his son, Shedeur Sanders, is set to make his third career start for the Cleveland Browns against the Tennessee Titans.
Deion has always been one of Shedeur's biggest supporters, coaching him throughout his entire college career at both Jackson State and Colorado. That continues into the NFL with beat writer Mary Kay Cabot for Cleveland.com reporting that Deion will be in attendance for the Browns and Titans matchup.
"Deion Sanders is believed to be here at Huntington Bank Field for Shedeur's 3rd career start in #Browns vs. #Titans," Cabot wrote via X. "Haven't seen him yet, but that's what I'm hearing."

Since his debut in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens, Shedeur has struggled. He's completed 31-of-61 passes for 405 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions and a 69.4 passer rating.
After his debut, Deion showed support for his son, saying, "I’m just proud of him. Because he’s not just saying the right things, he’s doing and living the right things. That’s just who he is," according to the Associated Press' Pat Graham.
The rookie quarterback is going up against a weak Tennessee defense. The Titans rank 24th in the NFL in total yards per game allowed (345.8) and 29th in points per game allowed (27.3). It's a weakness that Shedeur can take advantage of in just his third career start.
While pressure mounts on Deion to turn Colorado around, he continues to make time to show support for Shedeur.
