Devin Leary has the most drop yards of all SEC quarterbacks through six games
USA TODAY Sports

All Kentucky fans are aware that, at times, the Kentucky wide receivers have had trouble dropping the football, but this stat puts into perspective just how bad it has been.

Clark Brooks of SEC Stat Cat pointed out the number of drop yards each SEC quarterback has, and Devin Leary is atop the list with 338 drop yards.

The next closest SEC quarterback is LSU's Jayden Daniels, who has 264.

This means that if all of those 338 yards of drops were caught, Leary would have 1,595 passing yards on the year instead of 1,257 and would be averaging 266 yards a game instead of 210.

There are still a lot of big swing games on the schedule, including tomorrow's matchup for the Cats as they host Missouri, so the receivers need to get this figured out and soon.

It's frustrating to know how talented this wide receiver room is, but they continue struggling to reel the ball in from quarterback Leary.

Another game is another opportunity for the Cats to fix these issues, so if the Cats want to beat Missouri, the receivers need to help Leary out.

Kentucky will take on Missouri at 7:30 pm EST on the SEC Network, looking for their sixth win of the season.
