Did Marvin Harrison Jr. tip his hand about which team he wants to draft him?

Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is considered one of the two best players in the 2024 NFL Draft, and a target of seemingly every team drafting inside the top five.

He’s long been linked to the Arizona Cardinals in most mock drafts dating back to the summer, but the Chicago Bears have come on strong lately as a potential suitor for the 21-year-old wideout.

There’s presumed to be mutual interest between Harrison Jr. and the Bears after the Buckeyes star had been liking multiple recent tweets about Chicago’s top receiver D.J. Moore.

In fact, Harrison Jr. even commented on one of Moore’s Instagram posts as far back as October, further stoking the flames of speculation that he wants to land in Chicago come April.

If the Bears decide to keep quarterback Justin Fields and either trade away the No. 1 overall pick to another QB-needy team, or use it to build around Fields, picking Harrison Jr. makes a lot of sense.

After all, he’s already a fan of Moore, and the two have a history together dating back to their high school days in Pennsylvania.

“I grew up with Marvin Harrison (Jr.); we ran on the same track team,” Moore told reporters after Chicago’s 37-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. “Whatever we do (in the upcoming draft), we get him, it’ll be all love. We don’t and we go a different route, I mean, what can I do about it?”

Harrison Jr. had a spectacular junior season, catching 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns. He won the Fred Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the top receiver in college football, and he was named a unanimous All-American for the second straight year.

He leaves Ohio State with one of the more impressive two-year runs of any WR in recent memory, compiling 144 receptions, 2,474 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Adding Harrison Jr. to a passing attack that also features Moore (92 receptions, 1,300 yards, eight TDs) and tight end Cole Kmet (70 receptions, 678 yards, six TDs) would certainly put Fields in good position to succeed, especially if receiver Darnell Mooney leaves in free agency.
