EA Sports has dropped its list of the 10 fastest quarterbacks in College Football 26, and multiple Big 12 stars made the cut.
The reveal highlights a shift in the conference’s offensive identity, from passing-heavy offenses to a league stacked with dual-threat playmakers.
Houston freshman quarterback Austin Carlisle came in at No. 1 with 92 speed, followed by Oklahoma State’s Hauss Hejny and Utah’s Nate Johnson, who tied for second with 91 speed.

Colorado quarterback Kaidon Salter ranked No. 7 with 90 overall speed after transferring to Boulder from Liberty.
In 2024, he piled up 1,886 passing yards and 15 touchdowns, while also rushing for 587 yards and seven scores.
Carlisle committed to the Cougars after being touted as a three-star prospect out of high school. In his senior campaign, he totaled 605 yards and six touchdowns on the ground, showcasing the speed that now makes him the fastest QB in EA’s game.
After redshirting last year with TCU, Hejny joined the OSU Cowboys and showed flashes of his potential in the run game in 2024. In a matchup with Cincinnati, he rushed for 48 yards on eight carries, which was a team-high.
For decades, the Big 12 was defined by high-scoring, pass-heavy offenses. But these quarterbacks bring a new dynamic. They can extend plays and run out of the pocket, making them hard to predict.
Taylen Green (Arkansas), Haynes King (Georgia Tech), Ju’Juan Johnson (LSU), Marcel Reed (Texas A&M), Michael Hawkins Jr. (Oklahoma), and Luke Moga (Oregon) rounded out the list.
