Texas A&M football's class of 2026 defense is building up to be insanely strong. The Aggies recently received verbal commitments from four-star linebackers Tank King and DaQuives Beck, and four-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright.
This group is already a force to be reckoned with, but Texas A&M might just have another weapon headed its way.
Five-star offensive and defensive lineman Lamar Brown replied on X, "Let's team up and run the SEC" on July 5 in response to On3's Hayes Fawcett's post of Perry-Wright's commitment announcement.
Brown tagged Aggie commits, five-star edges Jordan Carter and Tristian Givens, four-star defensive lineman Jermaine Kinsler, and Perry-Wright.

It wouldn't be surprising for the five-star recruit to choose the Aggies given head coach Mike Elko's ability to reel in elite defensive talent in this recruitment cycle. Brown is the No. 5 ranked recruit from the entire class, No. 1 defensive lineman, and No. 1 athlete from Louisiana. He currently has LSU and Texas A&M as the frontrunners, but Texas and Miami haven't been taken out of the mix.
The two-way, maybe four-team race appears to be in the Aggies' hands, though. Brown has interacted with Texas A&M social media platforms more frequently as of recent and with such a dynamic group of defenseman already committed, the appeal of defensive powerhouse is too good to pass by. Things leaned more in Elko's favor when the rising senior canceled and rescheduled his official visit with LSU, which he did following his visit to College Station.
Brown's commitment announcement is scheduled for July 10.
