Texas and Ohio State are now just one day away from facing off in the Cotton Bowl where the winning team will have the chance to vie for a national title in Atlanta, Georgia.
While some give the Buckeyes the edge after their 41-21 trouncing of formerly No. 1-ranked Oregon, ESPN's FPI actually has Texas coming out victorious, giving the Longhorns a slight edge with a 50.6% chance of coming out with the win.
Curiously enough, ESPN BET has the Buckeyes as a strong 5.5-point favorite.
Regardless, this is expected to be a close game. It is worth noting that Texas comes in off of a 39-31 overtime victory over Arizona State in a game in which the Longhorns were expected to get a win much more dominantly.
Quarterback Quinn Ewers enters this game with 29 touchdowns, 3,189 yards and a 66.5 completion percentage on the season and will look to keep things on a high note as he goes up against his former team.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET in Arlington, Texas, on Friday.
