Auburn Tigers linebacker Eugene Asante spent Wednesday talking to the media at the NFL Combine and dropped a prediction about one of his former teammates.

Asante started his college career with North Carolina in 2019. After three seasons there, he transferred to Auburn and became a leader on defense. Last season, Asante had 47 total tackles, five tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

According to AL.com's Jerry Humphrey III, the former Auburn linebacker believed receiver Cam Coleman would be at the NFL Combine in the future. Asante called Coleman dynamic and was excited to see the wideout develop.

Auburn had a 5-7 finish in Asante's last season with the program.

“I go to Cam Coleman for sure," Asante said. "He is a dynamic player. We saw what he did, and we saw glimpses early in the season.”

As a true freshman in 2024, Coleman finished second on Auburn with 598 receiving yards and eight touchdowns behind KeAndre Lambert-Smith (981).

Coleman was the top commit from Auburn's 2024 recruiting class and the only five-star prospect.

Now, with Lambert-Smith heading to the NFL, Coleman is in a position to be one of the top receiving options on the Tigers' roster.

The Tigers also added receivers Eric Singleton Jr. (Georgia Tech) and Horatio Fields (Wake Forest) from the portal.

Coleman will also have a different quarterback throwing to him in 2025. Payton Thorne also left for the NFL, and Auburn added former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold from the transfer portal this offseason.

Auburn also has five-star quarterback Deuce Knight coming in from its 2025 recruiting class.

Coleman and Auburn begin their 2025 campaign against Baylor on Aug. 30.
