Arizona State Sun Devils star running back Cam Skattebo said that no one in the country was capable of stopping him ahead of his team's showdown with the Texas Longhorns in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on New Year's Day.
As it turns out, he was right.
Skattebo started off slowly in the first half but absolutely went off in the second two periods, almost single-handedly carrying ASU back from a 16-point deficit to a narrow and heartbreaking loss in double-overtime.
He finished the day with 141 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground, 7 grabs for 86 receiving yards, a 42-yard touchdown pass and converted a crucial 2-point conversion to tie the contest at 24-24, per The 33rd Team.
College football entities, media members and fans poured out praise across social media platforms for the Sun Devils and their bruising running back following the game, even though it ended in defeat for ASU.
