Ex-Heisman Winner Highlights Potential Consequence Of Cade Klubnik Returning To Clemson

Cade Klubnik could’ve taken his shot at the NFL Draft.

Instead, he’s back in Clemson — and according to former Heisman winner Mark Ingram, that choice could trigger something much bigger than expected.

Speaking on “The Triple Option”, Ingram didn’t hold back about what Klubnik’s return might mean for the Tigers. In his eyes, it’s not just about another season under center — it’s a signal that Dabo Swinney is gearing up for a full-throttle run.

“Yeah man, like you said Cade Klubnik…he chose to come back instead of foregoing his eligibility and possibly being one of the best quarterbacks in the draft,” Ingram said. “And I think that is a huge reason why Clemson will hit the over on this mark.”

He didn’t stop there.

Ingram pointed to more than just Klubnik as the reason for his optimism. Clemson’s supporting cast is quietly shaping up to be one of the most complete groups in the ACC.

“They got receivers coming back, Dabo hit the portal in some key positions,” he explained. “They got some key guys on the defense coming back too — in the secondary, on the D-line, a linebacker. Four starters on the O-line coming back.”

For Clemson, the stakes are higher than ever. After falling short of expectations the past two seasons, the Tigers suddenly have experience, depth, and — most importantly — belief.

Klubnik could’ve left. He stayed. And now, according to Ingram, Clemson might be ready to make that choice count.

Clemson will open their season at home against LSU Tigers where Dabo's team will be able to show if they're a serious competitor for the playoff.
