Exciting Deion Sanders, Colorado Announcement Made Following NFL Draft

While it wasn't an easy span of days for every Colorado Buffaloes draft prospect, it turned out to be one of the most successful NFL drafts for the program in a long time.

After Travis Hunter was selected No. 2 overall, there was a long wait until the next Buffaloes star was picked—Shedeur Sanders, who shockingly fell to the fifth round after being projected as a first-round pick prior to the draft.

Following Sanders, two more offensive talents were drafted: wide receivers LaJontay Wester and Jimmy Horn Jr. Their selections led to an exciting announcement regarding head coach Deion Sanders and his program, as Colorado had the most wide receivers drafted of any college team in this year's NFL draft.

Fans reacted to the Buffaloes sending the most WR's to the NFL:

LaJohntay Wester was selected by the Baltimore Ravens, while Jimmy Horn Jr. was taken by the Carolina Panthers. Additionally, Will Sheppard signed as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The main talking point for Colorado was the drastic fall of Shedeur Sanders, but his role in the production of the receivers throughout their time with the program did not go unnoticed, with fans recognizing his impact.

"Wow! Colorado must have had a phenomenal quarterback throwing to all those wide receivers!" One fan remarked.

Another person commented, "Shedeur had all those boys balling. Speaks to his greatness."
