Five-star Mylan Graham to follow in elite WR footsteps as new Ohio State commitment

Ohio State is a great place to commit if you're an elite wide receiver recruit. Just ask Garrett Wilson or Chris Olave, who have parlayed successful stints at OSU into solid early returns in the NFL. If not them, ask Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who's likely a top-10 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Ohio State has simply churned out elite wide receivers in the Ryan Day era, so it was no surprise when five-star wide receiver Mylan Graham from New Haven, Indiana, committed to the Buckeyes.

This is a commitment that has been a long time coming for Ohio State. OSU was the first program to offer Graham, back last summer when he impressed offensive coordinator and receivers coach Brian Hartline at a summer camp. The Buckeyes have been wire-to-wire favorites to land the five-star recruit, but other schools had thrown their hats into the ring as well.

Other notable offers for Graham were Georgia, Florida, Miami, Colorado, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State and Wisconsin.

What the Buckeyes offer as a program is just too much of a draw for the five-star, though, and that includes a wide-open offensive system that could allow Graham to follow in the footsteps of players like Olave, Wilson and Smith-Njigba.

“Love everything about them,” Graham told 247Sports regarding the Buckeyes. “Nice air-raid offensive scheme, love Coach Hartline, great football program I can trust to develop me, close to home."

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Graham is the No. 5 wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting class as well as a top-30 recruit nationally.
