Flau’Jae Johnson Sends 5-Word Message to LSU Boyfriend on Friday

LSU star and rapper Flau'Jae Johnson is enjoying a "Love and Basketball"-inspired romance.

The 21-year-old guard is entering her senior season with the Tigers, and when she's not on the court or in the recording booth, she might be with her boyfriend, LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr.

On Friday, Johnson shared a story on Instagram in response to a recent post from LSU, which highlighted several pictures of the football team, players, and fans.

One image included Hilton making a difficult touchdown catch against the Oklahoma Sooners, accompanied by a caption that read, "Mentally, we're here," which was the recurring caption on all the images in the post.

Johnson's post read, "Keep sleeping we love that ."

In December, the couple revealed their relationship by sharing a series of Christmas-themed photos on Instagram, all taken in matching pajamas.

Hilton has been a limited contributor to the Tigers and is entering his senior season. He missed most of the 2024 season because of a lower leg injury.

Johnson isn't limited to just the basketball court, as she is also a rapper signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation record label. Hilton has been featured in two of her music videos, “Flau & B" and "Need You By My Side."

Both Johnson and Hilton are facing lofty expectations in their upcoming seasons. Johnson and the women's basketball team made it all the way to the Elite Eight in last year's NCAA Tournament before a loss to UCLA ended their season. The year before, LSU won a national championship.

Hilton is expected to be one of the Tigers' top receivers this fall. Head coach Brian Kelly leads LSU football, and in a recent rankings list by Athlon Sports, the Tigers are slotted as the No. 7 team in the country.
