Everyone is in wait and see mode when it comes to who will be the next head coach of the Florida Gators. Saturday, November 29th is the date everyone has circled on their calendars, not because it's rivalry weekend, but rather that it's when Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin will announce his future plans.
Heading into that crucial day, things have been relatively quiet on the Gators front. There hasn't been much information coming from the Florida side in recent days, but that could be by design, especially with so much coming from the Ole Miss side. There is one intriguing piece of information, and its something that college football fans either love or despise: flight tracking.
We've seen plenty of flight tracking during this coaching search, including a plane from Baton Rouge to Oxford just to pick up a puppy. This one is about athletic director Scott Stricklin, who boarded a plane to Starkville, Mississippi for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Florida's private plane is about to land in Starkville. Scott Stricklin's family lives there, and it could simply be a Thanksgiving visit.

But you know who else will be in Starkville soon for the Egg Bowl? pic.twitter.com/QbCVjz01rY
Now, Swamp 247's Graham Hall makes a great point that Stricklin's family lives in Starkville. He was the Mississippi State Bulldogs' athletic director for years before coming to Gainesville. However, the Egg Bowl also takes place in Starkville the day after on Friday, November 28th.
Is it a coincidence that he's going home the weekend of the Egg Bowl with his potential coach being in the game? An announcement is also coming the day after, which is a big deal to this entire conversation.
This could be nothing, but in a world where any little detail can matter in this coaching search, Stricklin could be playing chess while the LSU Tigers play checkers.
