Is there anyone hotter when it comes to recruiting than the Florida Gators?
Over the last 48 hours, head coach Billy Napier has landed three commitments, all of them on the offensive side of the football.
The Gators are now up to seven recruits in the 2026 class, with five of them having committed over the first two big recruiting weekends of the summer. Momentum is continuing, including bringing back a player who just visited campus.
Napier and the Gators have been hot on the trail for four-star running back Carsyn Baker, who received an expert prediction from On3 Sports at the end of May, shortly after his official visit on the 16th.
The Gators are set to get Baker back on campus for the third time, becoming the second school to do so (South Carolina has five visits) this upcoming weekend on an unofficial visit.

What's really interesting here is the Gators have been somewhat late risers for Baker. He did visit a few weeks ago, but is also coming off of a visit this past weekend with the Florida State Seminoles. Getting Baker back on campus right after that, and before he is scheduled to travel out to College Station and visit Texas A&M could prove to be huge for their chances to land the Fairburn, Georgia recruit.
Right now, Baker is a four-star per On3 Sports' Industry Ranking, and is the 227th ranked overall recruit, 18th-ranked running back, and 23rd-ranked recruit in the state of Georgia. Getting him in the building to pair with Williams and four-star quarterback Will Griffin could make the Gators feel really comfortable with their offensive group heading into the doldrums of the summer.
Nothing is certain right now with Baker, but an unofficial visit certainly makes it look like the Gators are the front runners.
