Billy Napier and the Florida Gators recently hosted a high-level recruit for an official visit.

Luke Wafle is a 6-foot-5-inch, 245-pound edge rusher from The Hun School of Princeton in New Jersey. He is the 13th-ranked edge rusher and 110th overall player in the class of 2026.

His trip to the Swamp seems to have been a good experience, and moved Florida's recruiting efforts in a positive direction.

“After that visit, I can definitely see myself being a player at Florida and doing very well there. I felt the love and they treated me very well," Wafle said per On3.

"Florida definitely improved their chances," wrote Tom Loy of 247 Sports

Napier and his staff are certainly not the only contenders for Wafle's signature. The four star has visits planned to USC, Texas, Penn State, and Ohio State.

The college football is nothing new to the Wafle family. Luke's brother Owen currently plays defensive line for Penn State and their father David played for Duke in the 1990s.

Wafle's next official visit on the schedule is to Columbus to check out what defending champions Ohio State have to offer. Ryan Day and the Buckeye staff will certainly be a strong contender in the recruitment.

Once he is done with his official visits, Wafle will make his decision and announce his coveted commitment.

“I will commit soon after official visits. It should be late in June or early in July," Wafle said per On3.

Florida has set the bar high, and will hope that in a couple months Wafle will be ready to commit to spending his next college career in Gainesville.
