Against the Virginia Cavaliers, the Florida State Seminoles' run game was pretty good despite the loss , as that was very obviously not the reason they lost the game. However, it can get better, and they will have that opportunity on Saturday against the Miami Hurricanes with Roydell Williams back.
According to the Seminoles' two-deep depth chart that they put out, Williams is back, and actually listed above Gavin Sawchuk with his name in bold letters as well.
Having him back could add a lot to their offense

The offense last Friday was not the issue. Anytime Virginia scored, outside of the first half, they pretty much matched it. The running game was good, the passing game was good, and Tommy Castellanos looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the entire country. However, the offensive line could be better, as could everything, really.
When it comes to the running game, it was led by Gavin Sawchuk, as it has been most of the season, with some great runs by true freshman Ousmane Kromah, who went 12 for 63, including a 23-yard run. The run game was very solid, with 256 total rushing yards in the game. But why not add another fresh set of legs to the equation?
Williams is going to bring a bit of a third-down back feel to the offense, where they will ask him to do more than just run the ball. They will throw it to him, and maybe ask him to play some pass pro, considering he could be one of the better guys on the roster at that side of the position.
And most importantly, having Williams adds a new layer of mystery around the run game. The Seminoles run a lot of read option with the RBs and Castellanos, and having Williams in there, who there is no real tape yet with Castellanos on the field, could add a layer to it all.
There is still a ton of work to do on the defensive side of the ball for the Seminoles, but having something new on their offense certainly increases their chances at least a little bit. As soon as they returned home the next day after their loss, the Seminoles got right to work. They will be ready.
