A frustrating 2-10 season for the Mississippi State Bulldogs got even more disappointing amid news that one of their former top recruits is leaving the program.
According to the latest report by On3 Sports, cornerback Khamauri Rogers is planning to enter the transfer portal, which officially opens on Monday.
Rogers played in 10 games for Mississippi State football this 2024 season. He was previously with the Miami Hurricanes, but featured in just one game for the team in 2022 and tallied one tackle before his decision to move to the SEC team.
Now, Rogers is on the move again, though it remains to be seen which team he'll join next.

For what it's worth, a lot of the fans' comments about his decision were critical, with many noting how he wasn't able to live up to the expectations as a four-star recruit. Per On3, Khamauri Rogers was the No. 20 cornerback of the 2022 class.
"Well, if he couldn’t make a difference on that defense , no big loss," a commenter said. A follower further stated, "I forgot he was here…."
"Who? A nobody on @CoachHutzler awful defense says all you need to know," another critic shared.
"Bro was a 4 [star]," a poster said in disbelief.
"Dad must've not been happy with his playing time here either," a social media user added, referencing Khamauri Rogers' dad who complained about Miami's coaches when the young CB was with the Hurricanes.
"So it wasn’t Miami huh?" a sixth critic added.
Regardless of what fans feel about his time with the Bulldogs, though, Rogers is facing a critical decision, as he needs to choose a team that will give him an opportunity to show what he can do.
