Former Alabama QB says Lane Kiffin is not an option to replace Nick Saban
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Former Alabama football quarterback Greg McElroy shared his thoughts on Lane Kiffin possibly replacing Alabama as the head football coach.

Kiffin is a name some have brought up to replace Saban. However, McElroy feels the Ole Miss head coach is not an option for the Crimson Tide.

“Kiffin ain’t even an option,” McElroy said on McElroy and Cubelic in the morning. “I am just going to tell you right now. Let’s just get out in front of it and just stop. It ain’t happening, burn too many bridges in Tuscaloosa. I know he scored a lot of points. It ain’t happening. Lane Kiffin is out, not an option, will not have his name vetted. Not an option. You can remove him.”

The University of Alabama has not named a head coach after Nick Saban announced his retirement on Wednesday.
