Former Alabama football running back, Trent Richardson feels Josh Cuevas is an X-Factor for the Crimson Tide on offense.

Curvas has been a dependable target for Ty Simpson throughout the season. He has pulled in 24 receptions for 261 yards and three touchdowns.

Richardson feels the tight end does not get talked about enough.

“He’s real good with his hands, physical guy,” Richardson said on “The Dynasty Podcast.” “I like to call them type of guys like anytime guys because anytime you get them the ball or anytime you’re in the game, he’s bound to do something great, man. So that guy there, man, he’s different. He’s one of those X factors that people don’t really give enough credit to. And it reminds me a lot of guys that we had, like a lot of people don’t give Brad Smelley the dog on credit that he need at Bama, what he’s done there, a lot of people don’t give big Preston Dial what he’s done there. And those are two different guys and two different talents. Preston Dial was more of a blocker. Brad was more he was going to be able to catch the ball and he could block too… So, I’m proud of what the kid is doing, man. So he’s been a big X Factor and keep doing what you’re doing, kid.”

Simpson has look to Cuevas to make plays in critical moments this season. This is expected to continue as the season moves forward.
