Alabama does not appear to be heavily in the mix for former Auburn wide receiver, Malcolm Simmons, at the moment.

Simmons told Touchdown Alabama he currently has no plans to visit the Crimson Tide. He has reportedly locked in plans to visit Arkansas, Kentucky and Texas A&M.

The Alexander City, Alabama, product ended his last season with the Tigers with a standout performance against the Tide. He pulled in three receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown against Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

There was early speculation that the Crimson Tide could be a potential suitor for the Alabama native when he entered the portal, but this does not seem to be case at the moment, despite his former offensive coordinator at Auburn Derrick Nix expected to be the Tide’s next wide receiver coach.

Alabama is still reportedly expected to get a visit from former Tiger wideout, Cam Coleman.

Things could change when it comes to Simmons and Alabama, but the other SEC programs may be in better positions with the speedsters at the moment.
