The Texas A&M Aggies are gearing up for Year 2 under Mike Elko, opening the season Saturday against the UTSA Roadrunners. It also marks Year 2 for quarterback Marcel Reed, who now has several new weapons at his disposal.

Elko and his staff bolstered the receiving corps in a big way this offseason, landing one of the top players in the transfer portal in former NC State Wolfpack standout K.C. Concepcion. They also brought in Mario Craver from the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Jonah Wilson from the Houston Cougars to add depth and explosiveness.

The Aggies didn’t stop there. On the recruiting trail, they signed four-star TK Norman and five-star Jerome Myles.

Unfortunately for Reed and the rest of the Texas A&M offense, Myles won't be a part of that group this season after Monday's big update. According to On3's Aggies Today and Elko directly, Myles suffered a season-ending lower-body injury.

What this Means for Texas A&M's WR Depth

Myles wasn’t projected to be a major contributor as a true freshman, but he was expected to see valuable reps. For now, the bulk of the workload will still fall on K.C. Concepcion, Mario Craver, and Terry Bussey.

Jerome Myles' Football Journey

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound wide receiver played his high school football at Corner Canyon in Draper, Utah. Myles was rated as the 28th-best prospect in the class of 2025 and the third-highest receiver, according to 247Sports.

He chose Texas A&M in the end of his high school recruitment after decommitting from the Ole Miss Rebels and the USC Trojans.
